Empowering Lactation Class
Join us for an empowering and comprehensive lactation class designed to support new parents on their nurturing journey. Led by an experienced lactation consultant, this interactive class provides a nurturing environment for women or couples to learn and gain confidence in breastfeeding their newborns.
During this enlightening class, participants will be guided through a range of essential topics, practical techniques, and evidence-based information to help establish a successful breastfeeding experience. Our knowledgeable instructors will cover a variety of subjects, including: latch and positioning, overcoming challenges, nutrition, diet, pumping and storage, and much more!
In addition to the informative session, our lactation class offers a supportive community atmosphere, fostering connections with other parents who are experiencing similar journeys. Share experiences, ask questions, and receive valuable guidance from our experienced instructors who are dedicated to providing evidence-based care and support.
This lactation class is designed for women in their second or third trimester and will empower you with the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills needed to establish a positive breastfeeding experience. Join us and embark on a nurturing journey that will lay the foundation for a strong bond between you and your baby.

WHEN: June 3 (class full) | July 23 | August 19 | September 10 | October 7 | November 4 | December 2
TIME: 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
WHERE: 114 Nationwide Dr. Lynchburg, VA 24502
COST: $30/per couple (once you fill out the form to sign up, our team will call you the week before your scheduled class to collect your payment over the phone).
*Please note if you are unable to make it to your scheduled class, you will have the option to utilize a credit towards attending a future class.

Kim Freitas is a native of West Palm Beach, FL, and serves the Lynchburg community as a Nurse Practitioner with a special focus on maternal and newborn care. She is passionate about working with women, especially during the postpartum period. As a board certified Lactation Consultant, she is enthusiastic about educating and supporting women in their breastfeeding journeys.
Kim chose to specialize in women’s health to help empower women to take ownership of their health and to support them during their most vulnerable times in life, such as pregnancy, postpartum and menopause. Kim is dedicated to staying abreast of the latest research and evidence-based practices so that she can serve her patients with the highest standards of care.
Outside of the office, Kim enjoys spending time with her husband of 27 years and her two children. She loves going to the movies, exploring historical sites and traveling.
