Courtney radiated positivity the second she stepped in the room. She took her time explaining things step by step, was detailed, kind , caring and absolutely everything you could ever pray for from someone in her profession! I went in an anxious mess but she proved over and over again that I was in good hands every step of the way. By the time I left, she and the nurse assisting her had me laughing!
My family and I will be forever thankful to Dr. Freeman. She very literally saved the lives of both my daughter and granddaughter when she performed an emergency caesarean section and discovered a rare complication that most doctors never see in their entire careers. Because of her knowledge, care and expertise, she was able to manage the emergency and both of our girls are doing exceptionally well without any long term complications. Thank you, Dr. Freeman! You may not know it, but you are a hero and we are so very thankful for you!
My twin pregnancy was one complication after another, but Dr. Schindler was there every step up the way. She went above and beyond to make sure me, my husband and our babies were safe and as happy as we could be considering all of the difficulties. We were always greeted with a smile, the lab team was always kind and attentive, the ladies in ultrasound were exceptional! We could not be more grateful for such awesome care! I recently saw Dr. Cherian for some pelvic pain I was having. He listened to all my concerns and walked me through the process with kindness and concern. During my most recent appointment, I had an ultrasound, then saw the doctor and then had some other testing done, all in one visit. I now feel like we are on the right path to figuring out the reason for my pain. I highly recommend Dr. Cherian!

I absolutely love this Office. Astrid at the receptionist desk handed me a tissue knowing I needed one. Jordyn B took my height blood pressure and weight and then assured me the laughing gas will be set up for me to use. Deb Lustig was very compassionate and thorough explaining the entire procedure. I suffered many years with pain due to dryness and atrophy, my sex life was unbearable and I have gone to do many doctors begging for help. Let me tell you I now have my life back thanks to my doctor!! He listened to me and my complaints and got me started on a low dose of estrogen and now I feel great!!! I can’t thank him enough!

I started coming to WHCV after I found out I was pregnant. The staff is attentive, helpful, and personable. Dr. Schindler was amazing through the process and answered all my questions. Other providers from the office saw me while I was in the hospital for delivery and after and they all took the time to get to know me and make sure I was comfortable and all my questions were answered.
My doctor was extremely kind, and offered to see me again to look further at another question that i had during my visit!
I just had my initial OB appointment (second baby) with nurse Jennyfer. She was such a blessing to me today. Very calming, personable, caring… just a delightful personality. I had such a great “visit” with her, that I had to come on here immediately to sing her praises. It really was a perfect way to kick off a renewed relationship with Women’s Health, making me look forward to my upcoming appointments. Thank you, Jennyfer, for your sweet spirit!
One of the women who works in the lab, Lori, is absolutely wonderful! I don’t do well with needles and blood (more than once in my life, I’ve passed out while having a simple blood draw or shot), but she always helps to put my mind at ease. She’s SO nice, makes sure to distract me from what’s going on, and I never feel a THING when she sticks me with the needle. Every time I need to get lab work done, I cross my fingers and hope it’s her who does it… she’s just amazing!

Recently I had an annual visit to Women’s Health of Central Virginia. Overall my experience was positive and low stress. Faith from the front desk helped finish my check-in process. She was kind and accommodating. I felt welcomed by each staff member I encountered. I had my first nurse visit today with my first pregnancy. My nurse went above and beyond my expectations. I’ve been having some concerning symptoms and she took the time to go over what was going on with me. I cannot say enough about her compassionate manner, including the prayer she said with me.

I thought Dr. Schuller was so amazing with her gynecological care to prenatal visits and postpartum care, but then I had a miscarriage and am expecting my “rainbow baby” and her care continues to surpass all of my expectations! She is truly everything I need from a complete women’s health perspective. I’m so glad she is my Doctor! Of course her partners, the lab and ultrasound techs, and the receptionists are amazing too!
I had my OB nurse visit with Jessica. She is the kindest and most supportive clinician that I have ever encountered. Immediately, I felt calm and cared for by her. She listened to all of my questions and made me feel so valued. At the end of my visit, she prayed over me, and included my baby, my husband, and our family. I left my appointment feeling truly touched. I do believe that angels are among us, and I truly feel that Jessica is one of them!

I absolutely loved my time with WHC. I was cared for here my entire pregnancy. With it being my first pregnancy, I had no idea what to expect and was nervous about everything. I was quickly given a sense of peace with the caring nurses and awesome doctors. Dr. Justice was amazing! He truly cares about his patients and really took the time to get to know me and my husband. He even sent us a congratulations card in the mail and personally wrote us a letter and wished us the best on our new stage of life. For a new season of life that was filled with so many emotions, I delivered a healthy baby boy feeling nothing but peace, joy, and excitement. This kind of service is rare and special! I had been a patient of Dr. Robertson since 2006. When he retired, I became anxious as I have health conditions that were established and treated by him. However, I chose to see Dr. Schindler as my new doctor and I am very pleased. She listened to all my concerns and made the transition easy. I feel comfortable that she will live up to the standard that Dr. Robertson preceded her with in my care. I’m not always the easiest patient. I ask a lot of questions, do research on info a doctor gives me and work with the doctor for a plan of treatment. I’m sure that’s annoying. (lol) However, she was happy to assist me in my health care and made me feel comfortable. That’s no easy task!

I have been a patient of Dr. Wade Neiman for 30 years. In addition to delivering my son, he has been an outstanding, progressive doctor helping me make important decisions regarding the results of my genetic testing. I HIGHLY recommend him. He’s thorough and makes you feel completely at ease.
This man is amazing. He just delivered my daughter’s baby. This was the first time we met him and he was great! He has perfect bedside manner. He took so much time talking to her and her husband and explained everything before it happened!
Dr. Neiman was my OB doctor and he is the BEST. He answered any and all of my questions when I was pregnant with my daughter. I had a favorite nurse there, too, but I can’t remember what her name was. Besides the waiting part, this facility was a great experience for me!!
I’ve been to the WHSCV clinic a handful of times now! It’s a very friendly and comfortable place. They do have wait times like any average clinic.
My OBGYN really lives out the osteopathic medicine he trained in. He cares about the patient holistically: mind, body, and spirit! Not for a minute was I concerned with a male OB, he was extremely professional.
My first baby I had a doctor for delivery that I had not yet met. I don’t remember a name but it was not a great experience for reasons I won’t mention here. With that being said, I was so scared about who I was going to get to deliver this go around for my second baby. It was another doctor I was unfamiliar with. Dr. Young. As soon as that man stepped in the room I knew all was good to go. He was so encouraging and quick with the process, he didn’t just do his job, you could tell that he’s somebody who loves what he does. I don’t typically do reviews but in the midst of the chaos I didn’t get a chance to tell him how grateful I was. I asked the nurse to let him know but I’m not quite sure if she was able. I just had to come tell you guys in the most professional sense possible I have not stopped thinking about him and how appreciative I am since. That guy is a literal angel.
I have been seeing Dr Phemister for 14 years and he has always had a great bedside manner. He is very knowledgeable and always willing to answer questions. He always made himself available during my two pregnancies and helped to bring my two beautiful girls into the world!
Dr. Woods is an excellent doctor. She is thorough, so very caring and gentle. She takes time with you and I have never felt hurried with Dr. Woods as I have felt in other offices.

My boyfriend and I are 23 weeks into my first pregnancy with our baby boy and I have nothing but good things to say about this place. I’m a pretty nervous person by default but I always feel comfortable coming here. The staff are all extremely friendly and helpful, we always get any questions we have answered.

I have been with the practice for about 6 years now and will never go anywhere else. Through my pregnancy and subsequent induction I have seen 6 of the doctors. Dr Taylor, my primary, is absolutely fantastic. She always takes the time to listen and answer any questions I have. Her nurse, Kayla, is very friendly and personable. Unfortunately I was unable to have my doctor for delivery, but Dr. May made me comfortable, explained everything, and helped us through the realization that a c-section was needed. I saw them through my entire high-risk pregnancy and they were amazing! Dr. Phemister was my doctor the entire time, and he was great! Dr. Baker ended up delivering my daughter, and we loved him too! We traveled from Danville to Lynchburg so that I could be a patient at this practice, and have since referred many friends to them as well! Very thankful for their professionalism, dedication, and knowledge!
I’m currently 35 weeks pregnant with my first baby, and I’ve had a great experience with WHS so far. Dr. Schindler is my regular doctor, and while there is sometimes a wait later in the afternoon, she is always kind and makes sure there is time for questions.
Dr. Phemister is the absolute BEST doctor I’ve ever had. What a kind, caring, genuine person. I cannot say enough wonderful things about him.
I had an appointment there a week ago and have had difficulties filing my prescriptions (ENTIRELY the fault of my pharmacy). An employee at Women’s Health Services, Nikki (I apologize if I butchered the spelling) was beyond fantastic. She was kind, understanding, and extremely helpful. After several hours of me arguing with the pharmacy Nikki assisted me with getting everything worked out and my prescriptions filled. I could not be happier with them or their services. Also, there was another woman there whose name I’m unsure of, I do believe it was Stacy, who went out of her way to assist me as well. Having just moved here from four hours away, I’m sure I’ll be using this place again. Excellent service and hospitality.
I’m here to say I would not be going to any other places, Womens Health Services will be my primary doctor office. I’m grateful I got to have such a good and welcomed first time here. I also want to thank the staff that helped as well. Thank you guys so much, blessings!
I have been going here for 3 years now and have never had a complaint, maybe the wait time, but the staff is AMAZING!! Dr. Baker is my doctor, he knows how to brighten up someone’s day lol. After 2 tries of getting pregnant and having a baby, Dr. BAKER was the one that made the third try happen. I’m so thankful we found a doctor who would put so much time and effort into me to have my baby finally! BAKER came to visit me in the mother-baby unit. The front staff, the lab ladies and ultrasound techs are very POLITE AND SWEET! Thank you all!!!
At 32 weeks, I was seen in the L&D for pre-term labor. Dr. Phemister was the attending on call and he was PHENOMENAL! Dr. Phemister was incredible – he provided a calm, comforting bedside manner, answered any and all questions I had, encouraged me through all my possible ‘what if’ questions and was incredibly informative. I never once felt like ‘just a number,’ I felt that he took his time to personally speak with me and my husband about the situation and his plan of action for the duration of my stay. I couldn’t have asked for a better physician at this time.

To make an appointment for a mammogram and annual checkup pleasurable speaks volumes. I am a patient of Dr. C. Marraccini. Several years ago I had to switch OBGYN doctors due to insurance reasons. I chose Women’s Health of Central Virginia and picked Dr. Marraccini. I thought she would have an understanding of what was happening when menopause started. I was correct, she is an awesome doctor. Joan, her nurse, is great and makes me feel at ease. She takes the time to talk to me and answer my questions. Dr. Marraccini and Joan are worth my 1.5 hour trip one way for my yearly visit. Dr. Wheelock has a calming way of reassuring you that everything is going to be ok. He has a great bedside manner, always willing to listen to any concerns, allowed me to ask questions and made sure I understood what was going on during my pregnancy.
Dr. Marraccini always greeted me with a smile and I knew I was receiving the best care. She was very invested in my health and the care she was providing. She always listened and gave me the reassurance I needed.
Dr. Kidd is a phenomenal physician and I am so thankful she was there to safely deliver my baby. She is so caring and compassionate at what she does. If I ever felt nervous or scared she always helped reassure me. My first experience with a c-section and it went so smoothly. She never left my side and she kept me informed on everything that was going on. I felt so blessed to have her by my side.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. May. My husband and I just loved meeting with him during our pregnancy. He made sure we understood everything he said and gave us all of our options for every decision. He also was extremely personable and really listened to us. I was lucky enough to have 2 of WHS’s doctors perform my C Section, Dr. May and Dr. Wheelock, both made the scariest moment of my life an easy one. I had complications during the birth, but both doctors made it a pleasant experience. I will continue to see Dr. May for all my future gynecological needs and for baby #2! The nursing staff was also a dream to work with. I had an issue with the scheduling personnel and brought it to the attention of one of the nurses, she made sure that Dr. May was informed of it and then Dr. May made sure that the CEO, Monica, was informed. I was very impressed that Monica took time out of her busy schedule to talk with me and then continued to follow up with me about the issue on future visits. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!
