Meet Deb Lustig, DMSC, PA-C
Deb Lustig, DMSC, PA-C, joined the Women’s Health of Central Virginia team in 2023 as a physician assistant. Deb has an extensive educational and training background. She completed her undergraduate studies from Radford University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Art History. She then went on to receive her Master of Arts degree in Art History and Sexual Diversity Studies from the University of Toronto. Deb decided to pursue a career in healthcare and became a Scholar of the Virginia Area Health Education Center (AHEC) prior to achieving her Master of Physician Assistant Medicine from the University of Lynchburg. Determined to expand her skills and knowledge in the medical field, she earned a Doctorate of Medical Science from the University of Lynchburg and completed a Women’s Health Fellowship with us here at Women’s Health of Central Virginia.
Deb Lustig’s favorite part about her job is counseling patients with an emphasis on education and empowerment, so that patients feel comfortable and equipped to make informed decisions. She values building trust with her patients through meaningful conversations, fostering impactful relationships. She is dedicated to creating a safe and supportive environment where patients feel heard and respected.
When Deb isn’t providing care for the Central Virginia community, you’ll find her serving as a volunteer with Central Virginia Regional Rescue. On Saturdays, she enjoys visiting the Forest Farmers Market to help foster animals looking for their forever homes. Deb also enjoys traveling abroad, painting, reading and binging Lord of the Rings or history and nature documentaries.
